This summer, we have an extra-special summer camp for children to learn English in the UK countryside with a fantastic team made up of teachers from SGI London.
The opportunity to learn English at SGI in the summer months has been extremely popular for years, but this has previously been for students above the age of 16. Now, we are extending this valuable learning opportunity to juniors and teenagers aged from 9 to 17.
Here are 3 major reasons why SGI's summer camp will be extra special...
1. EXCELLENT LOCATION
Our special Junior Summer School will be located in the idyllic Ardingly College (see the video below) which is midway between Brighton and London. Ardingly College is a truly beautiful and peaceful setting. It has excellent sports facilities with tennis courts, huge green playing fields, a sailing lake, basketball courts, a sports hall, horse riding facilities and more.
2. CHILD SAFETY
Safety is our number one priority. Every parent will receive a phone number to have direct 24-hour contact with the SGI course director at Ardingly.
Our staff have been carefully selected and screened for their great teaching ability and "people person" skills. All of the SGI summer camp staff are current employees of SGI London and SGI Vicenza, Italy and are not only effective language teachers, but they have been chosen for their positive outlook, reliability, common-sense, youth and enthusiasm. All sport tuition will be carried out with fully-qualified instructors at Ardingly College.
In addition, no student is allowed to leave the grounds of Ardingly unsupervised and all excursions will have at least 2 SGI teachers in attendance.
3. LEARNING & FRIENDSHIP
Their are extensive benefits to learning a foreign language in addition to the worldwide power of English that will help your child in their future life.
Each week there will be 20 hours of English classes in which children will be guided through objective improvements with speaking, reading, listening and writing skills.
After English classes, there will be daily social activities led by our teachers, including film shows, parties, putting on drama shows and more to get everyone involved in something enjoyable, creative and building the values of social responsibility. There will also be 2 supervised excursions every week to London, Brighton and other sightseeing places in the surrounding countryside.
There will also be sport every day: lots of different sports from swimming to horse riding, football to basketball, tennis to volleyball... something for everyone.
All the sports and social programme events aim to enhance the social skills, language improvement and friendship of all students.
